Bio
Jessica is a passionate and dedicated educator who has been sharing the gift of music with students of all ages since 2014. She is the founder of Atelier Music Academy. Her teaching philosophy revolves around making learning a fun and engaging experience, especially for young learners. Students are encouraged to embrace challenges, persevere through obstacles, and celebrate their achievements, both big and small.
Having studied piano and vocal with the Royal Conservatory of Music and earned degrees at the University of Toronto, Jessica possesses a deep understanding of musical theory, history, and technique. This academic foundation, combined with Jessica’s extensive performance experience, enriches the lessons and provides students with a well-rounded musical education. As a life-long learner Jessica is currently working on her Elementary Music Specialist designation from the Royal Conservatory.
In addition to her work at the academy, Jessica contributes to the musical community as an educator with the Toronto Adventist District School Board. Her approach focuses not only on technical proficiency but also on nurturing a genuine love for music. She believes that music is a form of self-expression and aims to empower her students to communicate and connect through their playing.
Whether guiding a beginner’s first notes or refining the technique of an advanced player, Jessica's dedication to each student’s growth is unwavering. Her goal is to instill confidence and a deep appreciation for the beauty of music in each student. By fostering a positive and enriching learning environment, Jessica continues to inspire the next generation of pianists and music enthusiasts, leaving an indelible mark on their musical journey.
